CJGA Opens its Ottawa/Quebec Schedule with Double Qualifier

Markham, ON (May 8, 2008) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) will be opening its Quebec provincial schedule this weekend, May 10th and 11th at Loch March Golf and Country Club in Kanata Ont. with another installment in the national CJGA Nike Golf Junior Series schedule.  Competitors in the event will have an opportunity to qualify for both the Nike Golf Junior Championship and the Stephen Ames Cup.

Qualifying Information
The Canadian Junior Golf Association, in partnership with PGA Tour Professional Stephen Ames and the Trinidad & Tobago Golf Association, presents the fourth annual Stephen Ames Cup, to be held in August in Trinidad & Tobago. Stephen Ames is teaming up with his birth country of Trinidad & Tobago and his new home, Canada, to create a tournament so elite that only the top eight junior golfers in Canada and Trinidad & Tobago, aged 11-19, will be eligible to participate. The three-day event will take on a Ryder Cup format. Stephen Ames himself will be attending the tournament. The qualifying process for CJGA Team Canada will be done through CJGA Nike Golf Junior Series events on the 2008 schedule.
