Kaneff Junior Series To Return in 2008

Markham, Ont. (February 21, 2008) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is pleased to announce that the popular Kaneff Junior Series will return in 2008 with seven one-day events scheduled to run on the CJGA Junior Tour in the province of Ontario.

Initiated in 2007, the Kaneff Junior Series are the only one-day events on the national CJGA schedule.  All tournaments will be hosted by a Kaneff Golf owned property over the course of the summer.

"The future of this great game depends on the development of junior golf.  The Kaneff Group is very happy to provide opportunities for our youth to experience golf in both a competitive and nurturing environment” said Mr. Boris Uvakov, Vice-President of KaneffGolf.

“The Kaneff Junior Series proved to be a valuable addition to our schedule in 2007,” said Earl Fritz, Executive Director of the CJGA.  “The one-day events give junior golfers who are new to competitive golf an opportunity to experience a professionally run tournament on quality golf courses throughout southern Ontario.  Kaneff Golf is committed to improving opportunities for Canada’s aspiring golf talents.”

All Kaneff Junior Series events will be open to CJGA membership and filled on a first come, first serve basis.  Field sizes for each event will be limited to 40 junior golfers.
