CJGA Adds Manitoba Event to Nike Golf Junior Series Schedule

Markham, Ont. (March 4, 2008) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the Optimist Club to bring a high profile international qualifying tournament to the province of Manitoba in 2008 as part of the CJGA Nike Golf Junior Series.

The CJGA Nike Golf Junior Series at Larters at St. Andrews (June 7 – 8) in St. Andrews, Man. will complete the national Nike Golf Junior Series schedule with a total of twelve events scheduled to run across Canada on the CJGA Junior Tour (ages 11 – 19).  Participants in each Nike Golf Junior Series event will have an opportunity to qualify for both the Nike Golf Junior Championship as well as the Stephen Ames Cup. 

As an added bonus to Manitoba’s junior golfers, the CJGA has partnered with the Optimist Club in the province to offer spots in the prestigious Optimist Canadian International Championships to be held in Ingersoll, Ont. from August 11th to 13th.

Registration for the event will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
