The international event takes on a Ryder Cup format with the CJGA Team Canada competing against IJGT Team USA. CJGA Team Canada won the 2007 for the first time on home soil. The American team captured the 2005 and 2006 Mizuno North America Cup to lead the all-time series lead 3-2. In order to ensure that junior golfers across Canada and the United States are granted an opportunity to qualify for this prestigious event, the CJGA and IJGT will select their respective teams after conducting qualifying tournaments in 2008 to make certain that each team is well represented by their respective top level junior golfers. CJGA Team Canada will have an opportunity to attend an elite training camp conducted by CJGA national coach, Sean Foley, prior to the tournament.

4- Junior Boys Aged 13 & Under
4- Junior Boys Aged 14-16
4- Junior Boys Aged 17-19
2- Girls Aged 11-19
Requirements
Juniors who wish to represent CJGA Team Canada must meet the following requirements:
Selection Process:
The CJGA Team Canada Selection Committee will determine the juniors who represent CJGA Team Canada by the following process:

All results from the designated qualifiers are merged into one national field in each age category

Scores will then be adjusted based on the difficulty of weather conditions, course conditions, course slope, and course rating

The adjusted scores will be sorted by the committee.

Juniors with serious code of conduct violations will be removed from the list

The juniors with the lowest adjusted scores in each age category will then be selected to represent CJGA Team Canada
