CLICK HERE FOR FULL RESULTS PICTURE BUTTE, AB (September 22, 2008) – Competing in the Boys 14-16 Division, Calgary resident Brett Greiner ended the 2008 CJGA season in style over the weekend, posting rounds of 70 and 66 for an impressive two-day total of 136 (-6) at Picture Butte Golf Club in Picture Butte, Alta. Greiner, 16, won by a remarkable 15 strokes in the division after posting one of the CJGA’s lowest two round scores of the season. “I played awesome. Played my career round on Sunday,” admitted Greiner. “My putting and driving were the best parts of my game.” Calgary’s Scott Lowe finished in second spot in the division at 151 (+9) while Mack Penner of Lethbridge finished in third spot. Former CJGA Team Canada member, Travis Kemp of Lethbridge also turned in an impressive score at Picture Butte. Kemp carded rounds of 72 and 74 for a 146 total (+4) and a seven shot victory in the Boys 17-19 Division. “Though it didn’t really feel like it, I played well,” said Kemp. “I’ve always liked Picture Butte. It’s a fun and exciting course.” Steven Scheidt of Calgary finished in second spot while Mitch Bach of Sundre, Alta. grabbed third. In other divisional races, CJGA Team Canada member Patrick Murphy posted a two-day total of 157 (+15) to earn the Boys 13 & Under Division title, his second of 2008. Sierra Robotham of Calgary was victorious in the Girls Division. Notes - Greiner was under par for all four nines this weekend.
