2011 CJGA March Break Golf Camp Sponsored by Nike Golf

The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) is pleased to partner with Nike Golf and Men’s National Team Assistant Coach Ralph Bauer to provide an exclusive March Break Camp opportunity at The Oven, home of Nike Golf’s Research & Development facility.  Nike Golf athletes and the greatest minds behind club and ball innovation come together in Fort Worth, Texas to create equipment and apparel products designed to help athletes perform at their highest level.  This once in a lifetime experience will provide juniors the chance to experience the full Oven experience that only Nike Golf Tour players experience. 

Space is limited to the first 12 participants for this once in a lifetime opportunity!

 
Dates:  March 13th-15th 2011
Location: “The Oven”, Fort Worth Texas
 
Our goal for the camp is to provide any interested CJGA Members with the best possible kick-start to 2011 by providing them with the opportunity for what we feel is the Ultimate  Golf Camp Experience. Participants in the camp will have the opportunity to have the custom fit experience that only “The Oven” can provide and outside this camp is only available to its Tour Staff.
 
Itinerary:
 
March 12th- Travel Day
 
March 13th-9 a.m.-5 p.m.  Full day practice session at Leonard GolfLinks. Ralph and his team will assess each camp participants full swing technical ability and discuss/make technical changes or modifications as needed-the goal being that when you are being fit for your equipment over the next several days the clubs will be rewarding your best swings.
 
March 14th, 15th-  9 a.m.-5 p.m. These days will be reserved for camp participants to experience the full “Oven” experience.  The camp participants will be divided up into groups of 3 with each group experiencing the full “Oven” experience. In addition Ralph will be covering: full swing fundamentals, putting technique, vision training practice, variety of short game shots, mental skills information, customized practice plans for both full swing and short game, tournament scheduling and nutritional guidance.
 
March 14th 7 p.m.-9 p.m. (at the Host Hotel) Ralph will be conducting a US Golf Scholarship Information session which will include a vast array of topics: SAT prep., maximizing tournament exposure, finding the right school for you, resume preparation and distribution Q and A etc.
 
Expected Outcomes:
·         To have perfectly fit golf equipment just like the Nike Tour Staff
·         To have clear goals for the upcoming season
·         To fully understand your golf swing and how to go about letting it perform optimally
·         To have improved practice habits
·         To be able to “see” the line better when putting
·         To have a better variety and comfort level with short game shots
·         To have your questions answered regarding tournament scheduling, nutritional information and mental skill habits

·         To clearly understand US Scholarship opportunities available
Camp Costs
The cost for the camp is $2300 (CDN) and includes: full day training session with Ralph Bauer on March 13th, full day training session with Ralph Bauer on either March 14th or 15th and full day fitting session on either March 14th or 15th at The Oven as well as US Golf Scholarship Seminar.  You will be custom fit by the same team that fits Nike Tour Players, and you can order any equipment at 25% off wholesale pricing and the equipment will not only be fit to the most exacting standards in the industry, but built as well to the most exacting standards available.
 
Junior are required to find their own form of transportation to and from Fort Worth, Texas.  The CJGA has partnered with Staybridge Suites West Fort Worth for the rates of $109 for a studio and $119 for a one bedroom suite king and accommodations can be made directly with the facility by calling 817-935-6500.

About Ralph Bauer
Ralph Bauer, CPGA is the Assistant Coach for Golf Canada was voted by his peers as the 2007 Ontario PGA Teacher of the Year. His students have won an astonishing: 14 GAO Provincial Championships, 4 Golf Canada National Championships, NCAA Individual Championship etc. Ralph specializes in preparing young athletes for US College Scholarships and beyond, he has had over 20 athletes receive scholarships and communicates regularly with 100’s of US College Coaches.
