Nike Golf Junior Championship to Commence at Smuggler’s Glen Golf Course

Lansdowne, ON (August 21, 2011) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association is proud to be hosting the seventh annual Nike Golf Junior Championship from August 21-24 at Smuggler’s Glen Golf Course located in Lansdowne, Ontario. Competing in this event are 41 skilled golfers representing six provinces of Canada. This unique 3-day national event is the culmination of the 12-event Nike Golf Junior Series, and brings together golfers from all over Canada for a tournament of champions.

This tournament also commemorates the CJGA’s long-time partnership with its primary product sponsor Nike Golf. The CJGA is also proud to be partnering with Smuggler’s Glen Golf Course for the first time in the history of this event. Smuggler’s Glen has a variety of features to challenge the junior golfers, including beautiful elevated tee shots, rocky terrains, strategically placed bunkers, and a lengthy set-up.
First round tee times begin on August 22 at 12:00 p.m. followed by noon tee times again for the second round on August 23. Final round tee times on August 24 begin at 7:00 a.m. Spectators are encouraged to attend.
