Carlisle, Ont. (August, 29, 2011) – The Kaneff Junior Series reached the end today as thirty juniors competed in Kaneff Junior Finale at Carlisle Golf & Country Club in Carlisle, Ontario.  Having been selected for their play throughout the year and Kaneff Junior Series results, the juniors put on a great showing in warm and sunny conditions.
Jeff Dent of Lakeshore, Ont. put together the best round of the day to capture the Boys 15-19 division and medalist honors. Dent’s round of 73 (+1) on the South/East courses at Carlisle was good enough to give him a two stroke victory. This is his second victory of the season after capturing the Kaneff Junior Series event on the Masters course at Lionhead. A pair of skilled juniors finished in a tie for second place, Javier Diaz of Woodbridge, Ont. and Robert Johnson of Georgetown, Ont. Both players put together solid rounds of 75 (+3). Diaz shot the low nine hole score of the day, a 35 (-1) on the back nine. Two players finished in a tie for fourth place, Christopher Lao of Richmond Hill, Ont. and Patrick Alves of Toronto with score of 76 (+4).

Tyler Erb of Toronto was victorious in the Boys 14 & Under division, capturing his second Kaneff division title of the year. Erb shot a round of 74(+2) on the challenging layout, just enough to best Bryce Hardie of Brampton, Ont. by one stroke after he finished with a round of 75 (+3). Finishing in third place in the flight was Matthew Anderson of Mississauga after shooting a round of 79 (+8).
Hannah Stollery of Markham, Ont. was able to capture the Girls divisional crown. After a runner-up finish at the Kaneff Junior Series event on the Masters course at Lionhead, Stollery’s round of 87 was good enough for her to capture her first victory in the series finale. Olivia Lee of Toronto finished runner-up after her score of 100 for the round.
