CJGA Team Canada Set to Travel to South Africa
Markham, ON (January 5, 2010) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) and six junior golfers are getting set to travel to South Africa for the Tri Nations Cup this week. The three day match play competition will have CJGA Team Canada compete against the host South African Junior Golf Foundation and the English Golf Union at the beautiful Zebula Golf Estate & Spa in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. The tournament will take place from January 12th – 14th.

The teams will compete in singles and fourball matches over the three days of competition in an event that fosters goodwill and sportsmanship between the three countries. This is the fourth year of the competition following a hiatus in 2008.
“These juniors will have the experience of a lifetime in South Africa” stated John Lawrence, non-playing team captain for CJGA Team Canada. “They will face tough competition on the golf course, yet will forge relationships and memories that will last forever” he added.
In addition to the three days of tournament competition, team members will spent some time in Johannesburg and enjoy cultural tours of the host country.
