As part of its development program, the Canadian Junior Golf Association offers elite junior golfers in Canada the opportunity to qualify for international events through the CJGA Junior Tour and CJGA Junior Linkster Tour. The CJGA conducts qualifying tournaments across Canada in order to give every CJGA member an opportunity to qualify.
In 2008, the CJGA will conduct qualifiers for the Euro Junior Golf Cup in Scotland, the Mizuno North America Cup in South Carolina, the Stephen Ames Cup in Moka, Trinidad, the Callaway Junior Worlds in San Diego, the 56th annual East Aurora International Masters in East Aurora, N.Y., and the US Kids World Golf Championship in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Internationally, the CJGA has made great strides. In 2003, CJGA Team Canada captured its first World Junior Golf Cup in Scotland, defeating a tough American contingent. The team was also victorious in 2005, 2006 and 2007, over IJGT Team USA and the Fife Golfing Union The 2003 victory was followed up with CJGA Team Canada's first Mizuno North America Cup victory in 2004 at Berkeley Hall Golf Club in Hilton Head, SC and in 2007 at Weston Golf & Country Club in Toronto, Ont.. Great individual performances have been recorded at the Junior Worlds and US Kids World Golf Championship. There is no doubt that Canada has gained a tremendous amount of respect as far as junior golf is concerned in the international community and top finishes are expected to increase in the years to come.
