Cho Wins at Sandpiper

Harrison Springs, B.C. - Langley, British Columbia’s Ted Cho collected his first 2006 division title at the CJGA B.C. Fall Series at Sandpiper over the weekend.

Cho, 17, fired rounds of 79 and 73 for a 152 total and a ten-stroke victory over Ryan Stugus, 17, of Mission, B.C. in the Boys 17 - 19 Division.  Predrag Panic, 17, of Burnaby, B.C. finished third in the division.

Christian Pomerleau, 14, of Kelowna, B.C. continued his strong 2006 season with his second victory and first in the Boys 14 - 16 Division. Pomerleau fired rounds of 81 and 79 for a 160 total and a four-stroke win over Dylan Nickel of New Westminster, B.C. Darian Foster of Mission finished third in the division.

Soobin Kim, 13, of Port Coquitlam, B.C. closed with a tournament low 71 in the Girls Division to capture her second Girls Division title of the season. Kim battled Chelsea Kim, 16, of Coquitlam on Sunday as the latter closed with a 72 to make things interesting. Soobin finished at 150 - five shots better than Chelsea. Vancouver, B.C. resident Young Soo Kim, 15, finished third.

Nicholas Russell, 13, of Vancouver played consistently in capturing the Boys 13 & Under Division at Sandpiper. Russell posted rounds of 77 and 81 for a 160 total. The win is his second on tour in 2006. Brian Harrison of Richmond, B.C. finished second while Jun Mo Kang of Coquitlam finished third.

The CJGA B.C. Fall Series will continue the weekend of September 23rd and 24th at Belmont Golf Course in Langley, B.C.
