CJGA Strength & Conditioning Coach to Visit Turkey

Markham, Ont. Official Performance Therapist and Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA), Dr. Craig Davies, will travel to Istanbul, Turkey on November 15th for an official consultation with the Turkish Golf Federation

Davies, who runs the Golf Performance Program at Totum Life Science in Toronto, Ont., will meet with the players, coaches, and administrators of the Turkish Golf Federation to assist in developing a fitness and manual therapy component for the national golf program.  While in Turkey, Davies will perform golf specific biomechanical assessments and develop fitness plans for the Turkish national team members.

In 2006, Davies performed assessments and developed personalized fitness plans for a number of Canadian junior golfers who participated in international events with the CJGA.  Additionally, he is running a junior golf performance camp out of the Totum Life Science office on King St. W throughout the winter months.

"I'm looking forward to meeting with the Turkish Golf Federation and continuing to develop the international opportunities for the CJGA and its members,” said Davies, who has also consulted Canadian standout golfer Stephen Ames recently. “Through a continuing mutual exchange of knowledge and technique, we hope to grow the CJGA brand as well as the benefits of ChiroTraining globally.”

Davies is a credentialed level 4 golf biomechanics and swing analysis and a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in the United States.  He is also a credentialed Active Release Techniques (ART®) provider and a sport movement specialist (level 1).  For additional information please visit http://www.chirotraining.org/sports/golf/
