CJGA Continues Baka Fall Series at Eagle Ridge
Markham, Ont. (September 14, 2007) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) will continue its Baka Ontario Fall Series schedule this weekend, September 15th and 16th, at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Georgetown, Ont. The event includes a number of participants from across the globe as they prepare for the Canadian International Junior Challenge that will begin on Monday.
The Boys 14 – 16 Division features several international competitors including Michael Kraaij, 15, of Wieringerwerf, Netherlands and Damian Palanyandi, 14, of St. Georges, Bermuda. Top Canadians in the flight include Brad Altenhoff, 16, of Brantford, Ont., and Ryan Thomson, 16, of Georgetown.
A number of international competitors will compete in the Boys 17 – 19 Division including Andrew Johnston, 18, of Frien Barnet, England and Darius Van Driel, 18, of Den Haag, Netherlands. 2007 Mizuno CJGA National Golf Championship winner, Ryan Corbin, 19, of Niagara Falls, Ont. as well as CJGA Team Canada member, Alex Dumais, 17, of Caledon East, Ont. will also compete. Jed Walmsley, 17, of Cheltenham, Ont. should also do well.
The Girls flight features Samantha Hall, 17, of Toronto, Ont. as well as young standout Brogan McKinnon, 12, of Mississauga, Ont.
Sean Carlino, 13, of Hamilton, Ont. should do well in the Boys 13 & Under Division along with Shyamal Nagindas, 13, of Aurora, Ont.
Tee-times for the tournament will get underway at 12:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
