Core Golf students get great lessons at Disney during Children’s Miracle Network Classic won by Ames |
|
The students visited the Children’s Miracle Network Classic during the first round, following Ames as well as Justin Rose and Greg Owen, who are also coached by Foley. They got a great lesson in shot-making, marveling as Rose fired 65, Owen 66, and Ames 69. Ames won in a playoff. While eating dinner at Foley’s house on Saturday night, Ames forecast the score he’d need to shoot. "I wished for 64 and I got that 64," said Ames, who is a frequent visitor to the Core Golf Junior Academy. For students of the Core Golf Junior Academy, this was one field trip they’ll never forget. Nike Golf Canada is the official sponsor of the Core Golf Academy, Stephen Ames, and the CJGA.
