CJGA Regional Coach named Ontario PGA Teaching Professional of the Year |

CJGA Regional Coach, Sean Casey, of the ClubLink Academy was awarded with the Ontario PGA Teaching Professional of the Year Award on October 28, 2009 at the Ontario PGA Golf & Merchandise Show. Sean joined the CJGA while working at the ClubLink Academy assisting with the CJGA’s elite training camps for various CJGA Team Canada teams. Casey, who took over as Lead Instructor at the Academy in 2007 also took the lead with the CJGA camps, and continues to do so to date. Sean also assisting with the CJGA Junior Linkster program, conducting clinics to the 5-13 year olds at each Linkster event in Ontario. |

“There are a number great teaching professionals in Ontario so it’s a real honor to win the award. I have a passion for helping people and I love the game of golf so it’s a good fit for me.” said Sean Casey. “Being a positive influence and developing junior golfers is especially important to me so I appreciate the CJGA giving me the opportunity to Lead their Team Canada Camps.” “The CJGA would like to congratulate Sean on his achievement as Teaching Professional of the Year” said Earl Fritz, Executive Director of the CJGA. “Sean has been a great supporter of the CJGA and a great teacher to the many juniors that have come and gone through the CJGA program” he added. “We look forward to working with Sean and having him a part of the CJGA family”. Teacher of the Year nominees are judged on a wide array of criteria ranging from innovative teaching techniques to instructional articles, videos or promotions. Sean, who just released his new book, Casey’s Golf Tips www.caseysgolftips.com was also a finalist for Ontario PGA Teacher of the Year for Juniors. The CJGA would like to congratulate Sean on his award. Sean will be conducting a weekly junior elite program, running January to March 2010.
