MARKHAM, ON (June 25, 2008) – The Canadian Junior Golf Association will be conducting the 3rd annual TaylorMade-adidas Golf Invitational from June 30th to July 1st at Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge, Ont. Hosting the event will be professional golfer and Cambridge’s own, Ian Leggatt. Junior golfers have been invited to play in this event based on their 2007 CJGA merit point standing.

Junior Golf Clinic Hosted by Ian Leggatt
Following the first round of the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Invitational, host Ian Leggatt will conduct a junior golf clinic on the driving range at Whistle Bear.  All junior competitors are encouraged to attend and ask questions.  The start time for the clinic is tentatively set at 6:00 p.m.

Golf Course Quick Facts
Opening July, 2001 in Cambridge Ontario, Whistle Bear Golf Club’s architect, John Robinson designed the course with plenty of challenge and length.  It has been awarded many high rankings including “best new course” and a “must play” by Teeing It Up Ontario and, in 2004, Whistle Bear hosted the Nationwide Tour’s CPGA Championship.
