Windy conditions reeked havoc on the Boys 14 & Under division, but John Mosher of Halifax, NS battled to an opening round score of 79 to take a four shot lead into Sunday. With 5 players within 5 shots of the lead, Mosher will have his work cutout for him to take the title home.
The Girls 15-19 division will be a battle between leader Allison Chandler of Chester, NS and Elizabeth Furniss of Berwick, NS, who shot rounds of 80 and 84 respectively.
Heather McLean of Port Williams, NS is the round one leader in the Girls 14 & Under division posting a score of 94. Four strokes behind entering Sunday is Haley Baker of Brookside, NS.
